Boston’s Premier Photo Booth

If you’ve done it before, you already know how incredibly fun it is. If you haven’t yet had the opportunity, it is well time for you to experience it, my friend. We are talking about the photobooth, photo booth, or photo station.

Entertain New England is the home of Boston’s premium “photobooth,” the one and only Transformation Station for high-end events. It’s time for the Boston photo booths of the past to step aside.

Why do we call it the Transformation Station? First, it’s usually not a “booth” but an open-air kiosk with a sleek tower module that can reflect one of several colors — it “transforms” your space. Second, we can provide you with custom event props (or even custom backdrops, or green screen) to match whatever event theme or color scheme you are going for — some examples might be Wild West, Vintage Carnival, or Space Age.

Photos of the Transformation Station appear in the gallery below along with some of its work, open in open-air mode, booth style, traditional photos, and green screen mode.

KEEPING IT SIMPLE: Maybe you’ll need our open-air photo “booth” with a straightforward and traditional backdrop, in a color choice of black, white, or gold.

DEMAND THE BEST: Though maybe you’d prefer for us to create a backdrop branded specifically for your company, event sponsors, your wedding day, or other special event. Further premiums: As you pose, walk a red carpet runway (or in some other color to brand your event), red carpets with gold stars embedded like Hollywood’s iconic Walk of Fame, or other high-end branded carpeting and items. Find a few sample images in the gallery above.

One of the biggest trends to the hit the wedding market especially, though also wildly popular now at corporate events, bar mitzvahs and bat mitzvahs, and other private events, too, is the photo booth. This isn’t necessarily a new concept (in fact, it is fairly old), but you know the tale of trends: Wait long enough and the old becomes new again.

Borrowing from Wikipedia: The modern concept of photo booth with (later) a curtain originated with Anatol Josepho, who had arrived in the U.S. from Russia in 1923,with the first photo booth appearing 1925 on Broadway in NYC. For 25 cents, the booth took, developed and printed eight photos, a process taking roughly ten minutes. In the first six months after the booth was erected, it was used by 280,000 people. The Photomaton Company was created to place booths nationwide. On March 27, 1927, Josepho was paid $1,000,000 and guaranteed future royalties for his invention.

Nowadays (at least with our booth) many more than just two people can be captured on film in any one booth session, the photo strips appear not in minutes but mere seconds, the strips can be personalized with a weddings couple’s names, an event date, or an organization’s logo, and digital copies of all the day’s fun can be stored and shared. We also provide a wild variety of props to you and your guests to enhance the fun while you are behind closed doors (or curtains rather).

Our photo booth can alternatively be booked out as an ultimate green screen experience, where you (or we, putting our heads together) choose an appropriate theme — for example: the 80s, classic movies, admirals and pirates, fashion show — and we provide you with several entertaining theme-appropriate backdrops in which your guests will pose in front of and otherwise have fun pretending to interact with. They’ll see the background images right on the screen as they pose, and the images print out the same way.

A photo booth or green-screen experience is the perfect supplement to an already great event entertainment line-up, and it’s also a wonderfully engaging stand-alone entertainment concept for some fun at your next event.

Picture yourself getting all sorts of praise from your guests. Contact us now and let’s chat.
